Roads & Altitude

Road conditions

In late June, mountain roads are clear and beautiful. A standard rental car is fine. Watch for afternoon thunderstorms and give yourself extra time on winding canyon roads.

Altitude tips

Telluride sits at 8,750 ft and the venue is higher at 11,200 ft. To feel your best:

  • Hydrate well, drink more water than usual.
  • Go easy on alcohol for the first day or two.
  • Arrive a day early to acclimate if you can.
  • Wear sunscreen, the high-altitude sun is intense.
